Tidy up!
Been meaning to do it for a while now so finally pulled my finger out and did some wire house keeping on the weekend.
Also while I was there changed the fuel filter

Posted under ProgressBeen pondering what to do on my floor for sometime, wanted to do carpet but reckon it would get trashed, so opted for Duck boards
Fronts all complete just need to screw the backs together now
Posted under ProgressThat dreaded time again – MOT
Had an advisory last year on one of the front ball joints, so thought for the sake of it, change all four while I was doing one!
Took the shocks off to find they had seen better days so bought these today:

Also found that the shocks that were on there were stock height and since removing them the car had gone lower!
Bonus…
Also found the beam had no grease nipples so fitting those today also.
Then off for a ticket to see what other surprises are lurking
Posted under ProgressAlso got a Scat shifter which came with the trekker so thought i might as well fit it as thats what it was like in the feature and I had never had a car with one in.
Fitted a breeze and looks the part and also makes for a really nice solid gear change, well pleased!
Posted under ProgressGo really fed up with my harnesses so have replaced them for proper three point ones. The posts should be a lot higher for the shoulder mount but they were cut off by the previous owner to improve the look when the roof is down.
Been looking for a long time to try to find a good exhaust for the trekker, that gave good ground clearance as well as looking the part and also actually improving performance,
Finally found this one and doesn’t it look the part!
The car came with 2 sets of Porsche Cookie cutters, and I LOVE them as they are one of my favourite wheels, but I have always had a desire for Fuchs, so I finally have managed to get myself a set, copies but I reckon pretty good ones!
Nothing wrong with what was in the car when I got it, but I had always kept the motor from the sale of my bus as I wanted it for the Trekker, I knew it would be a whole heap of fun!!
